Elves, Goblins and Gnomes in Canada : an investigation of the Little People
Hammerson Peters is a researcher, author and YouTube producer specializing in Canadian cryptids , mysteries, folk tales and legends . Feel free to grab yourself something to nosh and get settled with a nice cup of tea (as people are accustomed to doing) … We’re about to embark on a voyage through the lore and traditions of ”little people” – the elves, gnomes, dwarves and goblins as they have appeared in Canada! Did the good people ”haunt” their European counterparts as the later journeyed across the sea into distant lands, ”new” and ”undiscovered” ? But wait! The traditions of little people (reminiscent of European fairies) are widely known to have pre-existed throughout North America since the earliest vestiges of history and certainly before the coming of modern Europeans! Little people are evinced through extensive oral tradition, petroglyphs, rock art and perhaps certain mysterious artifacts, architecture and mummified remains, determined to be consistent with the diminutive size of miniature people. Anyway – without further ado- let’s get to the showing!
