gew-tor Jenny Hartman

Social Media

Ghewtor, Jennifer (she/her) is our resident Heathen, celebrant, and officiate of rituals, weddings and other celebrations.

Growing up with a passion for special events, she honed her craft at Humber College Institute of Technology and Advanced Studies, and as a professional in the public relations and special events fields. Although she has helped plan and host A-list celebrity events, her specialty lies mainly in weddings, blots and sumbles.

Breathing traditional culture and spirituality into everything she does, Jennifer brings together her background in events, her native Scandinavian traditions and her love of research into a spiritual practice.

She loves connecting and nerding out over the history of Nordic paganism. Given past political issues, Jennifer ensures safety in inclusivity and diversity while connecting with others. She assures everyone that in this practice, there is “No Space for Hate,” and she loves the message the Pagan Assembly of Nova Scotia (PANS) shares, that everyone belongs.

In her spare time, Jennifer enjoys ocean and forest therapy, historic fencing, cavalier archery, reading/researching Nordic pagan history, blogging about it, and writing pagan children’s books to help her children feel better connected to the Swedish traditions she grew up with, while tying it back to pagan folklore and history of the area.
