Like multicoloured threads, afloat in the firmament, each one a unique hope within a collective dream.
Rivergrove, once wisps of aether, now creating warp and weft for the weaving.
In writing this, I am sharing a part of that gathering of threads, showing how community can be created by a singular spark. How friendship, love and memory can lay building blocks of eternal fellowship.
Dave Armshaw was that spark for me.
As a sole practitioner of my own brand of “fusion” spirituality, Dave’s stories of community was my only link to the happenings within the circle that would eventually birth P.A.N.S.
Having so much Greenman energy coarsing through his frame, his favorite tales often times would be about AEPG.
He loved the natural rhythms of earth, sky, fire and water, how these combined and formed soulful memories each year. Often times,and with heartfelt longing, Dave would voice his greatest wish…that our ragtag community, 30+years in the making,would one day have a sacred space of its own~ LAND. A place we could return to time and again. A place we could feel the elements and commune with the stardust and starlight we all truly are.
A home…
Life happens, seasons come and go, the Universe decides when to gather us back.
Dave’s final season came too soon…too quickly.
For the longest time, a mournful wind took the place in my mind that once held the stories, the laughter, the light…my friend.
My only solace was to remember, he was a traveler on the path, we would meet again.
This realization made me wonder what I might say when next we met. For me, it had to be something that could impart, at least an inkling, of the joy my friend had always brought to me…

On Saturday August 13th 2022, through my business-The Emerald Cauldron, the first Mystic Moon Faire was hosted at the Halifax Forum. Its sole intent was to help build the Dave Armshaw memorial fund, that would buy the land he had always dreamt of. Since that first event, another 16 events have been hosted . The Land Fund swelled to an amount that made the dream a possibility. The Universe made the possibility a reality.
….what will I say to my friend?
